Volunteering

WE ARE CONTINUOUSLY LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP US IN OUR FIELD WORK IN THE RAINFOREST!

Volunteers are supposed to collaborate both on mist-netting and acoustic surveys in the PDBFF natural reserves in the heart of the Amazon. Volunteers will be in the field for periods up to 3 weeks, sleeping in hammocks, cooking, cleaning and conducting fieldwork for more than 12 hours. Previous field experience is necessary and volunteers need to be physically fit and capable to endure hard work conditons.

The project will cover accomodation expenses in the field, but the volunteer should bring his own watch, headlamp (recommendably 2), batteries, rubber boots, field backpack and sleeping bag. The project cannot cover the accomodation in Manaus, however, volunteers can share accommodation with other project members (rent is divided by all).
